The Best Beaches in Denia: A Mediterranean Paradise to Enjoy After Class
Learning Spanish in Denia in our school means diving into a unique seaside experience. After a morning of classes at our school, there’s nothing better than grabbing your towel, putting on your swimsuit, and heading out to discover the best beaches in Denia.
This charming coastal city, located between Valencia and Alicante, is known not only for its language and culture, but also for its Mediterranean vibe, delicious cuisine, and — of course — some of the most beautiful beaches on the Costa Blanca.
Whether you’re looking for peace and quiet, crystal-clear waters, a good swimming spot, or just a place to relax with a book in the sun, here’s our guide to Denia’s top beaches — so you can make the most of your time here.
Les Rotes: Rocky Coves for Nature Lovers
If you love nature, peace, and snorkeling, Les Rotes is your place. This stretch of coast runs from the end of the port to the Torre del Gerro and features rocky coves with crystal-clear waters and rich marine life.
You won’t find sandy beaches here, but instead small pebble caves are perfect for exploring underwater. The nearby Cova Tallada is a must-see — bring water shoes and a snorkel mask. This area is ideal for escaping the crowds and enjoying a more secluded side of Denia.

Marineta Cassiana Beach: The Closest to Town
Just a short walk from Denia’s city center, Marineta Cassiana is one of the most convenient and accessible beaches. With soft sand, calm waters, and great facilities like showers, umbrellas, and a seafront boulevard, it’s a perfect spot to unwind.
Great for your first days in Denia while you’re still getting your bearings. You can paddleboard, go for a swim, or simply relax under the sun.

Punta del Raset: Wide, Lively, and Full of Activities
Punta del Raset is one of the largest and most vibrant beaches in Denia. With a fun, youthful atmosphere, it’s perfect for those looking for an active beach day.
It’s a great spot for beach sports like volleyball, football or just taking a long walk along the shore. There are plenty of beachfront bars (chiringuitos) nearby for a drink or snack with a view. The beach also features a large rope pyramid for climbing with panoramic views and, in summer, an inflatable water park, great if you’re visiting with kids.

Les Marines: Golden Sand and All the Amenities
One of Denia’s most well-known beaches, Les Marines stretches northward for several kilometers. It boasts soft golden sand, clear waters, and all the amenities you might need.
Perfect for a full beach day, rent a sunbed, eating at nearby restaurants, or just sunbathing. It’s also easily accessible by car or public transport.

Les Bovetes: Family-Friendly and Peaceful.
Further north from Les Marines lies Les Bovetes, a beach popular with families and those seeking a calmer vibe.
It’s spacious, clean, and has good facilities — but without the crowds of other beaches. A great spot to disconnect and relax.

Els Molins: Breezy and Spacious
If you like open spaces and a fresh sea breeze, Els Molins is your beach. Less crowded than others, it’s ideal for those who want a quieter spot with great sand and lovely views.
Windsurfers love it too — the wind conditions are usually perfect for water sports.

Les Deveses: Denia’s Wildest Beach
Les Deveses is the most remote beach in Denia — and also one of the most authentic. This unspoiled stretch of coastline has no large developments, offering a truly natural beach experience.
Expect fewer people, more vegetation, and a peaceful setting to reconnect with nature. It’s also a favorite with surfers when the waves pick up.

Are you ready to Experience Summer Mediterranean Style?
The beaches of Denia are more than just places to sunbathe, swim, or play sports — they’re also ideal for practicing Spanish with locals, hanging out with classmates, and discovering a laid-back, sun-filled way of life.
