When a teenager decides to go abroad and take a Spanish course, his life changes completely.
This is what happens to the young people who participate in a Spanish program for teenagers in Denia, Spain. Every summer they come to Denia and participate in a Spanish course program with family accommodation, extracurricular activities and excursions. Due to this experience, there is a difference between before and after!
HOW A TEENAGER’S LIFE CHANGES AFTER A SPANISH PROGRAM IN SPAIN
Young people are growing up. For most of these young people, it is the first time they live outside the parental home. This leads to them taking on more responsibility. The situation forces them to be more independent and they become more mature as a result.
Teenagers broaden their horizons. In this program, they live with Spaniards, immersing themselves in a different culture. They also meet people from all over the world during classes and activities, opening up new perspectives on life.
Young people make new friends. Through this experience, they are forced to socialize. Young people are used to being surrounded by their family and friends, but in Spain they have to leave their comfort zone and interact with strangers. This helps them overcome their fear and shyness, and they learn to interact with others (not only with their host family, but also with their classmates, teachers, counselors, etc.).
Young people are discovering the usefulness of the Spanish language. Many of them learn Spanish in their countries of origin, but until they come to Spain or to a Spanish-speaking country, they cannot see the usefulness of the language. During the course, they speak Spanish because they really need to communicate.
Young people discover new facets about themselves. When they leave their country, home, and routine, they gain new experiences and often discover new talents or skills. When they leave their country, they can learn more about themselves.
Young people value experiences more than material objects. For many, it is the first trip of their lives or the first time they travel alone. Therefore, they value experiences such as traveling, exploring a new country, going on excursions, meeting new people and learning about another culture. Thanks to the Spanish course for teenagers, they begin to appreciate the value of experiences over material objects.
Investing in this type of program is a long-term investment because it is an experience that will last them a lifetime!
