Schedule & Content Outline

SCHEDULE:

CLASS OBSERVATIONS: Monday–Thursday, 09:00–12:45 (in April) and Monday–Friday, 09:30–12:45 (in August)
WORKSHOPS: From 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM (in the April session, there will be one day—date to be confirmed—with two workshops, and the schedule will be extended).
TUTORING: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM
ACTIVITIES: 2 days social/cultural events (to be confirmed).

CONTENT:

The course combines real class observation with feedback tutorials and practical workshops designed to help participating teachers enrich their methodology and take away immediately applicable ideas for their own classrooms.
Throughout the week, key topics are covered, such as:

You’ll leave with practical strategies for motivating students, teaching grammar communicatively, encouraging spoken interaction, giving constructive feedback, and integrating Spanish culture—all in a friendly, creative, international teacher environment.

How to get to Denia

Arriving at airport: Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández

Airport to Alicante city: There is a regular bus service from the airport to the city of Alicante. You can check the timetable here at Subús. You need to get off at Alicante bus station.

Alicante to Denia: There is a direct bus service from Alicante bus station to Denia, which takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. There are however, many bus routes that leave Alicante and service Denia, but these tend to take longer as they make many stops along the way. Please check bus times at Alsa.es.

Denia bus station is very close to TLCdénia and the accommodation offered in the town

Arriving at Manises airport, Valencia

Airport to Valencia city: There is a metro line connecting the city of Valencia to the airport. You can check the timetable here at metro de Valencia.

To get to Valencia bus station (C/ Menéndez Pelayo, 20) from the airport via metro, take the green line and change at the “Angel Guimera” stop to the yellow line (direction Liria Bétera). Get off at the “Turia” stop and the bus station is located near by.

It is also possible to take a taxi from the airport to bus station. The fare is between 15 and 20 €.

Valencia to Denia: There are many bus services from Valencia bus station (C/ Menéndez Pelayo, 20) to Denia, with the shortest journey time being approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. Please check bus times at Alsa.es and type in ‘Valencia’ as the point of origin in order to see the many different services available.

Getting to Denia by car

If travelling along the AP -7 motorway, take Exit Nº 62 (sign posted Denia – Ondara), located between Valencia and Alicante.

If travelling along the N-332 national road, on reaching the town of Ondara take the Exit C -311 towards Denia.

Private transfer

TLCdénia offers a pick-up service to both international airports Alicante or Valencia. Arrival details such as (date, time, place and flight number) are required at least one week before your arrival.

ONE WAY: 150 €

RETURN: 300 €

The airport transfer service will be available from Monday to Sunday between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Any service requested outside of these hours will incur a night-time surcharge of €30.

Erasmus+ Grants: Finance Your Course

Did you know you can use an Erasmus+ professional development grant to fund this course?

The European Union’s Erasmus+ program offers financial support for teachers and educational staff who wish to take training courses abroad as part of their professional development in their schools.

Who qualifies?

  • Spanish or other subject teachers in public schools, colleges, or adult education centres in Erasmus+ programme countries
  • Professional educators (teachers, trainers, coordinators, etc.) supported by their institution

Your educational institution applies for funding through the Erasmus+ project. You can participate as a beneficiary if the course is part of their training plan.

What can the grant Erasmus+ cover?

How to apply:?

  1. Speak with your school/institution to check if they can apply for an Erasmus+ KA1 mobility project
  2. If awarded, they include this course in their staff training plan and process your enrolment
  3. If they’re not already running a project, they can apply in the next annual call (typically opens in Autumn and closes February–March, depending on the country and action line)
