Dénia is located in a privileged destination surrounded by charming coastal towns. Villajoyosa is one of them, a very picturesque destination where students from the Spanish program for school groups will learn more about Spanish culture.
Our excursion will begin by exploring the beautiful old town of Villajoyosa, with its narrow cobbled streets and colorful houses. The students will immerse themselves in an authentic atmosphere as they walk through the historic center, accompanied by our activities’ leaders.
At the fishing port, students will have the opportunity to observe the colourful fishing boats and learn about the importance of the fishing industry in the area. They can also visit the fish market, where freshly caught fish and seafood are auctioned, and get a close look at the marketing process for these products.
Villajoyosa has many tourist attractions such as the hanging houses, the old town, ‘Nuestra Señora de la Asunción’ Church, the city walls, the colorful houses, the fishing port, the chocolate museum and the chocolate factory. They are perfect places to admire and to take great photos.
They will also have free time to enjoy the beach, sunbathe, or simply relax and chat with their classmates.
Villajoyosa is home to the well-known Valor chocolate, so an optional visit is the Chocolate Museum. In this museum, students will learn about the history of chocolate and its importance in the region, as well as enjoy tastings of delicious handmade chocolates.
Villajoyosa is an ideal destination to combine the study of Spanish with an enriching cultural experience. Students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the daily life of a charming Spanish town, improve their Spanish, discover local cuisine, and share unforgettable moments with their classmates.
