In Denia we are fortunate to be surrounded by charming towns such as Altea.
Altea is a coastal town on the Costa Blanca that combines the beauty of its Mediterranean landscapes with the authenticity of its culture and the warmth of its people, providing an idyllic setting to immerse yourself in the Spanish language and culture.
It is the archetypal white Mediterranean town where you can take beautiful pictures and where no one is left indifferent. Our school groups take a trip to Altea where students will have the opportunity to explore the old town, with its narrow, picturesque cobbled streets, white houses and beautiful churches.
Students can stroll through the old town, known as “El Fornet”. This maze of narrow cobbled streets, dotted with white houses with beautiful flowerpots, invites visitors to lose themselves in its charm. Strolling through its cobbled streets you will find numerous craft shops, art galleries and charming restaurants where you can enjoy the famous Mediterranean gastronomy.
On top of a hill is the parish church of Nuestra Señora del Consuelo, one of the most iconic images of Altea. Known for its blue and white tiled dome, this church is a distinctive symbol of the town and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the sea and the coast.
In addition, there will be the opportunity to stop at the beach with its crystal clear water and golden sand.
Altea is a charming tourist destination that combines the natural beauty of its beaches and coastline with the charm of its old town and rich cultural offer. Whether enjoying the beautiful views from the parish church, exploring the cobbled streets of the old town or relaxing on the beaches, Altea has something for all visitors looking for a unique experience on the Costa Blanca.
