WHAT IS SIELE?
SIELE is an international exam that certifies Spanish proficiency through electronic means. It is promoted by the Instituto Cervantes, the University of Salamanca, the University of Buenos Aires, and the National Autonomous University of Mexico, ensuring its prestige and worldwide recognition.
SIELE evaluates Spanish proficiency through four tests: Reading Comprehension, Listening Comprehension, Written Expression and Interaction, and Spoken Expression and Interaction. Additionally, it uses the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) established by the Council of Europe as its basis.

SIELE Exam: Modalities
"SIELE GLOBAL":
It’s the most comprehensive type of exam to certify your Spanish proficiency. It’s a single, multilevel exam that allows you to obtain the SIELE certificate, a document that includes the score obtained in each of the four parts and its equivalence with the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), as well as an overall score from 0 to 1000, which is the result of the sum of the scores of each of the four tests.
The SIELE exam consists of four tests that correspond to the main language competencies:
Reading – (Comprensión de lectura (CL))
Listening – (Comprensión auditiva (CA))
Writting – (Expresión e interacción escritas (EIE))
Speaking – (Expresión e interacción orales (EIO))
INDEPENDENT MODALITIES:
You can take the SIELE global exam or just one of the following independent modalities, which combine different tests:
